Bellenblazer ...
"Bellenblazer" is one of those strange Dutch words that's hard to translate directly into English. A "bubble blower", literally, which says it all, but it's not really what I'd say if you'd ask me to describe it. "A man blowing bubbles using a bucket of soapy water and a piece of string tied between two sticks" is a closer approximation but it doesn't really roll off the tongue like "bubble blower", or, indeed, "bellenblazer"...
Anyway, as part of the workshop we ended up at the Dam, the big open square usually filled with one sort of demo or another, or a load of pigeons and the tourists that flock to feed them. On the day I was there the demo's had just finished and people were clearing up and off. Just setting up in the middle of the square was this bellenblazer, so with strict instructions to get close and to use burst mode, this selection of around 20 images make up the best of the 640+ images I took that day.
